Chapter 7

1 Now when Solomon8010 had made an end3615 of praying,6419 the fire784 came3381 down3381 from heaven,8064 and consumed398 the burnt5930 offering and the sacrifices;2077 and the glory3519 of the LORD3068 filled4390 the house.1004

2 And the priests3548 could3201 not enter935 into413 the house1004 of the LORD,3068 because3588 the glory3519 of the LORD3068 had filled4390 the LORD's3068 house.1004

3 And when all3605 the children1121 of Israel3478 saw7200 how the fire784 came3381 down,3381 and the glory3519 of the LORD3068 on the house,1004 they bowed3766 themselves with their faces639 to the ground776 on the pavement,7531 and worshipped,7812 and praised3034 the LORD,3068 saying, For he is good;2896 for his mercy2617 endures for ever.5769

4 Then the king4428 and all3605 the people5971 offered2076 sacrifices2077 before6440 the LORD.3068

5 And king4428 Solomon8010 offered2076 a sacrifice2077 of twenty6242 and two8147 thousand7239 505 oxen,1241 and an hundred3967 and twenty6242 thousand7239 505 sheep:6629 so the king4428 and all3605 the people5971 dedicated2596 the house1004 of God.430

6 And the priests3548 waited5975 on their offices:4931 the Levites3881 also with instruments3627 of music7892 of the LORD,3068 which834 David1732 the king4428 had made6213 to praise3034 the LORD,3068 because3588 his mercy2617 endures for ever,5769 when David1732 praised1984 by their ministry;3027 and the priests3548 sounded2690 trumpets before5048 them, and all3605 Israel3478 stood.5975

7 Moreover Solomon8010 hallowed6942 the middle8484 of the court2691 that was before6440 the house1004 of the LORD:3068 for there8033 he offered6213 burnt5930 offerings, and the fat2459 of the peace8002 offerings, because3588 the brazen5178 altar4196 which834 Solomon8010 had made6213 was not able3201 to receive3557 the burnt5930 offerings,4503 and the meat offerings, and the fat.2459

8 Also at the same1931 time6256 Solomon8010 kept6213 the feast2282 seven7651 days,3117 and all3605 Israel3478 with him, a very3966 great1419 congregation,6951 from the entering935 in of Hamath2574 to the river5158 of Egypt.4714

9 And in the eighth8066 day3117 they made6213 a solemn6116 assembly:6116 for they kept6213 the dedication2598 of the altar4196 seven7651 days,3117 and the feast2282 seven7651 days.3117

10 And on the three7969 and twentieth6242 day3117 of the seventh7637 month2320 he sent7971 the people5971 away into their tents,168 glad8056 and merry2896 in heart3820 for the goodness2896 that the LORD3068 had showed6213 to David,1732 and to Solomon,8010 and to Israel3478 his people.5971

11 Thus Solomon8010 finished3615 the house1004 of the LORD,3068 and the king's4428 house:1004 and all3605 that came935 into5921 Solomon's8010 heart3820 to make6213 in the house1004 of the LORD,3068 and in his own house,1004 he prosperously6743 effected.6743

12 And the LORD3068 appeared7200 to Solomon8010 by night,3915 and said559 to him, I have heard8085 your prayer,8605 and have chosen977 this2088 place4725 to myself for an house1004 of sacrifice.2077

13 If2005 I shut6113 up heaven8064 that there be no3808 rain,4306 or if2005 I command6680 the locusts2284 to devour398 the land,776 or if518 I send7971 pestilence1698 among my people;5971

14 If my people,5971 which834 are called7121 by my name,8034 shall humble3665 themselves, and pray,6419 and seek1245 my face,6440 and turn7725 from their wicked7451 ways;1870 then will I hear8085 from heaven,8064 and will forgive5545 their sin,2403 and will heal7495 their land.776

15 Now6258 my eyes5869 shall be open,6605 and my ears241 attentive7183 to the prayer8605 that is made6213 in this2088 place.4725

16 For now6258 have I chosen977 and sanctified6942 this2088 house,1004 that my name8034 may be there8033 for ever:5769 and my eyes5869 and my heart3820 shall be there8033 perpetually.3605 3117

17 And as for you, if518 you will walk3212 before6440 me, as David1732 your father25 walked,1980 and do6213 according to all3605 that I have commanded6680 you, and shall observe8104 my statutes2706 and my judgments;4941

18 Then will I establish6965 the throne3678 of your kingdom,4438 according as I have covenanted3772 with David1732 your father,25 saying,559 There shall not fail3772 you a man376 to be ruler4910 in Israel.3478

19 But if518 you turn7725 away, and forsake5800 my statutes2708 and my commandments,4687 which834 I have set5414 before6440 you, and shall go1980 and serve5647 other312 gods,430 and worship7812 them;

20 Then will I pluck5428 them up by the roots5428 out of my land127 which834 I have given5414 them; and this2088 house,1004 which834 I have sanctified6942 for my name,8034 will I cast7993 out of my sight,6440 and will make5414 it to be a proverb4912 and a byword8148 among all3605 nations.5971

21 And this2088 house,1004 which834 is high,5945 shall be an astonishment8074 to every3605 one that passes5674 by it; so that he shall say,559 Why4100 has the LORD3068 done6213 thus3602 to this2063 land,776 and to this2088 house?1004

22 And it shall be answered,559 Because3282 834 they forsook5800 the LORD3068 God430 of their fathers,1 which834 brought3318 them forth3318 out of the land776 of Egypt,4714 and laid hold2388 on other312 gods,430 and worshipped7812 them, and served5647 them: therefore5921 3651 has he brought935 all3605 this2063 evil7451 on them.

4 Затем царь и весь народ стали приносить жертвы перед Господом.

5 Царь Соломон принес в жертву двадцать две тысячи голов крупного скота и сто двадцать тысяч мелкого. Так царь и весь народ освятили дом Божий.

6 Священники заняли свои места, а с ними и левиты с музыкальными инструментами Господа, которые царь Давид сделал, чтобы славить Господа, и на которых играли, когда он возносил благодарение, говоря: «Милость Его — навеки». Напротив левитов священники трубили в свои трубы, а все израильтяне стояли.

7 Соломон освятил среднюю часть двора перед Господним домом и принес там всесожжения и жир жертв примирения, потому что бронзовый жертвенник, который он сделал, не вмещал всесожжений, хлебных приношений и жир жертв.

8 Соломон, а с ним и весь Израиль — огромное собрание от Лево-Хамата до речки на границе Египта — отметили тогда семидневный праздник Шалашей.

9 На восьмой день они устроили собрание: ведь они семь дней праздновали освящение жертвенника, и еще семь дней — праздник.

10 На двадцать третий день седьмого месяца он отпустил по домам народ, который радовался и веселился сердцем о благе, что Господь сделал Давиду, Соломону и Своему народу Израилю.

11 Когда Соломон закончил строительство Господнего дома и царского дворца и успешно завершил все, что думал сделать в Господнем доме и в своем дворце,

12 Господь явился ему ночью и сказал: — Я услышал твою молитву и избрал это место Себе как дом для жертвоприношений.

13 Когда Я затворю небеса и не будет дождя, или повелю саранче объесть землю, или нашлю мор на Мой народ,

14 тогда, если Мой народ, который называется Моим именем, смирит себя, станет молиться и искать Моего лица и оставит свои злые пути, то Я услышу с небес, прощу их грех и исцелю их землю.

15 Теперь Мои глаза будут открыты и Мои уши будут чутки к молитвам, которые станут возносить на этом месте.

16 Я избрал и освятил этот дом, чтобы Мое имя пребывало здесь навеки. Мои глаза и сердце будут здесь всегда.

17 А ты, если будешь ходить предо Мной, как ходил твой отец Давид, исполнять все, что Я повелю, и соблюдать Мои установления и законы,

18 то Я упрочу твой царский престол по завету, который Я заключил с Давидом, твоим отцом, сказав: «Ты не лишишься преемника, который бы правил Израилем».

19 Но если вы отвернетесь и оставите Мои установления и повеления, которые Я дал вам, и пойдете служить другим богам и поклоняться им,

20 то Я искореню Израиль из Моей земли, которую Я дал им, и отвергну этот дом, который Я освятил для Своего имени. Я сделаю его притчей и посмешищем у всех народов.

21 И хотя этот дом сейчас превознесен, всякий, кто пройдет мимо, поразится и спросит: «За что же Господь обошелся так с этой страной и с этим домом?»

22 А отвечать будут: «Потому что они оставили Господа, Бога их отцов, Который вывел их из Египта, приняли других богов, поклонялись и служили им — вот за что Он навел на них все эти беды».

5 And king4428 Solomon8010 offered2076 a sacrifice2077 of twenty6242 and two8147 thousand7239 505 oxen,1241 and an hundred3967 and twenty6242 thousand7239 505 sheep:6629 so the king4428 and all3605 the people5971 dedicated2596 the house1004 of God.430

5 Царь Соломон принес в жертву двадцать две тысячи голов крупного скота и сто двадцать тысяч мелкого. Так царь и весь народ освятили дом Божий.

10 And on the three7969 and twentieth6242 day3117 of the seventh7637 month2320 he sent7971 the people5971 away into their tents,168 glad8056 and merry2896 in heart3820 for the goodness2896 that the LORD3068 had showed6213 to David,1732 and to Solomon,8010 and to Israel3478 his people.5971

10 На двадцать третий день седьмого месяца он отпустил по домам народ, который радовался и веселился сердцем о благе, что Господь сделал Давиду, Соломону и Своему народу Израилю.

11 Thus Solomon8010 finished3615 the house1004 of the LORD,3068 and the king's4428 house:1004 and all3605 that came935 into5921 Solomon's8010 heart3820 to make6213 in the house1004 of the LORD,3068 and in his own house,1004 he prosperously6743 effected.6743

11 Когда Соломон закончил строительство Господнего дома и царского дворца и успешно завершил все, что думал сделать в Господнем доме и в своем дворце,

12 And the LORD3068 appeared7200 to Solomon8010 by night,3915 and said559 to him, I have heard8085 your prayer,8605 and have chosen977 this2088 place4725 to myself for an house1004 of sacrifice.2077

12 Господь явился ему ночью и сказал: — Я услышал твою молитву и избрал это место Себе как дом для жертвоприношений.

21 And this2088 house,1004 which834 is high,5945 shall be an astonishment8074 to every3605 one that passes5674 by it; so that he shall say,559 Why4100 has the LORD3068 done6213 thus3602 to this2063 land,776 and to this2088 house?1004

21 И хотя этот дом сейчас превознесен, всякий, кто пройдет мимо, поразится и спросит: «За что же Господь обошелся так с этой страной и с этим домом?»
